REDSIDE investiční společnost, a.s. has become a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment, joining more than 2,000 other organisations around the world that have publicly demonstrated their commitment to responsible investment.
Signing the internationally-recognized Principles for Responsible Investment allows REDSIDE and its funds to publicly demonstrate its commitment to responsible investment, and places it at the heart of a global community seeking to build a more sustainable financial system.
Becoming a signatory of the PRI is important especially to NOVA Green Energy, SICAV, a.s. as it supports meaningful green projects in the Central and Eastern Europe region in order to contribute to sustainable development. The primary investment focus of the Fund is on renewable energy projects such as solar power plants, biogas stations, and biomass power plants, as well as other projects producing green energy and heat.
“Nowadays investors (especially institutional investors) emphasize the importance of sustainable development. This is happening due to the professional and lay public, that is increasingly interested in supporting green projects as well as in contributing to sustainable development of our planet. I am glad that NOVA Green Energy fund is now officially a part of this community,” says fund manager Ondřej Žídek.
The NOVA Green Energy fund generates 62,000 MWh of electricity annually that could supply approximately 17,500 households. Every one million CZK invested in the fund will save 100 tons of coal per year, which means approximately 75,000 tons of CO2 savings per year.
